- Users from all non-Harvard academic labs are charged **External Academic Rates**, including:
    - Users from affiliated Hospitals (BWH, Children's Hospital, BIDMC, DFCI, MGH) and from un-affiliated academic institutions (Tufts, BU, Brandeis, etc.)
    - Users whose labs will NOT be paying with a Harvard 33-digit billing code
- The external rate includes an additional Facilities and Administration Fee (F&A Fee) which goes to HMS to cover a portion of the facilities and administration costs for the CMI space.
- External users institutions not affiliated with Harvard Medical School will *need to provide a PO number* before access.

- **Access fees** are billed hourly or daily, depending on the instrument.
- **Training fees** are charged ***per user*** per instrument. [Training](/training "Training") is small group (1-4 trainees).
