The CMI is home to shared instruments for the biophysical characterization of macromolecules and their interactions. These instruments can be used to [measure protein properties](/measuring-molecular-properties "Measuring Molecular Properties") such as thermal stability, secondary structure and oligomeric state, and provide several orthogonal technologies to [measure binding kinetics and equilibrium](/measuring-molecular-interactions "Measuring Molecular Interactions") of protein/protein, protein/ligand and protein/small molecule interactions. The CMI also has tools for [protein production](/protein-production "Protein Production"), including preparative chromatography, cell-free protein synthesis, and yeast display nanobody selections.
