The primary service offered at the CMI is training on core [CMI Instruments](/technologies "Technologies") for measuring molecular properties and molecular interactions. All new users are required to have instrument training by CMI staff before they will be granted instrument access at the CMI. To request training and access, users will need a CMI account, which can be requested using the [CMI Account Request Form](/cmi-account-creation "CMI Account Creation").

A flat per-user, per-instrument [fee](/access-and-training-fees "Access and Training Fees") is charged for training. Training may be one-on-one or in small groups, depending on instrument and staff availablity and user demand.
