Commercial Access Fees

  • Non-academic users, who have been granted access by the CMI director, are charged Commercial Rates.
  • Users from non-academic institutions will need to provide a PO number before access.
  • The commercial rate includes an additional Facilities and Administration Fee (F&A Fee) which goes to HMS to cover a portion of the facilities and administration costs for the CMI space and a commercial add-on fee.
  • Resident Harvard Life Lab companies are offered a 25% discount off the standard commercial rates.

  • Access fees are billed hourly or daily, depending on the instrument.
  • Training fees are charged per user per instrument. Training is small group (1-4 trainees).
