External Academic Access Fees

  • Users from all non-Harvard academic labs are charged External Academic Rates, including:
    • Users from affiliated Hospitals (BWH, Children's Hospital, BIDMC, DFCI, MGH) and from un-affiliated academic institutions (Tufts, BU, Brandeis, etc.)
    • Users whose labs will NOT be paying with a Harvard 33-digit billing code
  • The external rate includes an additional Facilities and Administration Fee (F&A Fee) which goes to HMS to cover a portion of the facilities and administration costs for the CMI space.  
  • External users institutions not affiliated with Harvard Medical School will need to provide a PO number before access.

 

  • Access fees are billed hourly or daily, depending on the instrument.  
  • Training fees are charged per user per instrument. Training is small group (1-4 trainees).
