Services
The CMI is primarily a shared instrument facility and our main mission is to provide Instrument training and advice on on all core CMI technologies.
The CMI does NOT offer data collection services for any Molecular Interactions Technologies (SPR, BLI, MST, ITC).
Services Available to all: Light Scattering, Circular Dichroism, Differential Scanning Fluorimetry, Protein Chromatography
Services Available to academic users only: Nanobody Selections
To start a conversation about a data collection services project, please contact the CMI.
Required Service Forms:
- CMI Sample Form (xlsx), for gathering sample details to aid in data collection. You may exclude proprietary information in your preliminary form (we'll let you know if essential information is missing).
- Service Agreement, for EXTERNAL users
- Academic User Agreement, for academic data collection service users (SAME as standard Academic User Agreement)
- Commercial User Agreement for Data Collection Services, for industry data collection service users (DIFFERENT than Commercial User Agreement for Instrument Access)
Phase 1
- Current CMI Users with HMS PPMS Account should start by submitting a project request in PPMS with a Sample Form.
- New Users (internal or external) start by requesting a CMI account with a Sample Form
- All external users will need to submit a CMI Service Agreement with their form (make sure to select the correct agreement form).
CMI reviews request and sends service estimate, typically within 1 week of inquiry.
Phase 2
- User provides PO and finalizes Sample Form. CMI User Agreement must be in place at this time.
CMI contacts user to coordinate a date/time for sample delivery or drop off and for data collection. Our goal is to schedule data collection within 1-2 weeks of receipt of PO and service agreement, depending on instrument/staff availability.
Phase 3
CMI provides user with a report of results and a link to all data files, typically within 1 week of data collection.
Phase 4
An invoice from Harvard Accounts Receivable will be sent in the month following data collection.
